Sep 19 – Quiet day

20thsky

The local area was largely cloud covered, as the picture shows. There were a few weak thermals and the viz was great. Though with little wind, it was not so interesting from a gliding point of view.

However, a flight in the afternoon with Richard Lancaster in LGC, uncovered some areas of convergence, each giving smooth lift with up to 3kts at times, all were located along the coastline or just offshore.
