Sep 17 – Local Ridge Day

For just the second time on the trip we had a Westerly wind on the ridge. Not particularly strong, but worked well enough and for several hours decent thermals developed. The visibility was stunningly good and with a lot of sunshine, a really nice day here.

Here’s the local ridge looking towards Snowdon

The launch point and the inviting local ridge

The K21 towing out over the dunes

The good, the bad and the ugly, I’ll let you decide which?

  1. To Robin, Phil and Dan a personal thank you very much indeed for a fabulous week of gliding. Thank you for taking on an ‘Ab Initio’ (still don’t know what that means 😉 and giving me the chance to experience such epic flights. They have provided me with an immense amount of learnings and inspiration to make more time for this fantastic hobby. Safe travels and hope you all enjoy the remaining time in that special place called Llanbedr. Best regards
PS Looking forward to 2016 Exped already 🙂
