Sep 11 – Windy Llanbedr

The strongest winds today were on the ground, most unusual. Some local effects produced a 30 kt wind from the South East, so getting airborne was going to require some care. In the event Andy Sampson and Mike Barrowman went for it. Although the wind direction was the same as yesterday and a little stronger, the wave was hard to find and not very strong. Andy reached 7000′ over the Maw valley and had a reasonable flight. Most, however, chose not to fly.

Contemplating what might be possible during the daily briefing.

Andy about to launch.
