Aug 29 – Llanbedr Trip Starts

With a wet and cloudy Bank Holiday in prospect for most of England, it seemed sensible to get the tug to Llanbedr ahead of time. So at 1330 on Saturday, our tug “CB” departed Dunstable for Llanbedr.

The trip with was straightforward with just a bit of low cloud over the hilly parts of Wales to negotiate.

Here just approaching the pass to Dolgellau.

The coast though was clear and a beautiful afternoon for the tug’s arrival.

Lofty was first to arrive with L8 and stayed overnight in the local farmhouse we have rented. It was a surprise to find our new neighbours were the Newland-Smith’s, they having arrived whilst Lofty and I were sampling the local hostelry.
