Mar 25 – Morning Flights only

The forecast suggested a period of good wave ahead of an approaching front. In the event the wave proved tricky, though Mark and Adrian enjoyed it for a while in the Arcus. The Cerdanya valley was surrounded by showers of snow and yet with the help of the Föhn effect, kept them at all bay. There was even the odd 7kt thermal to 10000′ to be had, until late afternoon that is, when the valley gave up and was filled with cloud and snow.

The picture shows Mark Peters flying with Robin in the Duo Discus, heading towards the end of the Cadie, which had disappeared into a snow shower.

The flying was short today but enjoyed by those who participated.
