May 21st – Slow start then quite good

There was a lot of cirrus over SE Spain, and although the air was unstable, it wasn’t until after 3pm that it became good enough for cross country. Alex with Robin in the Duo and Steve in HBB set off on 200k task and made just the first TP before heading home. A convergence then generated about 20k North of Ontur, which gave the Duo an 80km run South to Cenajo and North again to the Albacete boundary.

ImageTo the North of Ontur there are many irrigated circles, a good landout option, as the fields are cleared of stones and generally fairly flat. You just have to avoid the rotating watering arm
