May 8th – Much Ci, not much Cu

This was the last day for the SI team, Dave and Rob flew a short task then derigged and started their journey home.

For new arrivals, Mark Burton and Andy Brown, it was all about checking out the local area and the Spanish thermals. Unfortunately, they were in short supply today, and made for a hesitant task. AB sensibly abandoned his task about half way round, Mark and Robin pressed on to the furthest turn at Caravaca, and had a closer look at their TP than they really wanted by landing on it!

ImageMark, checking out his various gadgets, none of which would create a thermal at Caravaca unfortunately.

ImageThe microlight strip at Caravaca perched on the top of a hill and just 250m long, with a bit of extra at one end, led to a safe arrival on quite a nice surface. Andy and Ed retrieved.
