May 1st – Nice day

Yesterday was very wet and the expected high cloud bases didn’t quite make it with 7000′ being about the max. Our task over the Segura Mountains was modified by all, Nick in AB found wave on the West side, climbed to 11,500′ and merely cruised home over the top, Rupert and Geoff in SI and Roger B in LGC scuttled back across the slightly lower ground to the North, with LGC extending to Almansa in the East.

Back at base Ed B completed his 5 hours and probably his silver height.

And it was a whole lot warmer than yesterday where the temperature didn’t break in to double figures!
