Dec 4th, A day of two halves

The internet connection with Kiripotib has been out for nearly 2 days now, so apart from the blogs drying up, we have had no weather information. Today, the general recommendation was to fly West then South along the escarpment and return the same way. In the event we did, but found only really scrappy broken thermals in a very strong wind. We battled with these for some hours before deciding to run for home. Only then did we find a strong cumulus field extending from Bitterwasser to the NE. Anyone flying just in this area will have done rather well. Anyway it went some way to making up for the sweat we’d had earlier.
