Nov 28th – 1300km Wow

Another good day, long and with cu allowed us to make a massive flight from one end of the gliding area to other, routing 370km along the Namib escarpment and back. Knocked up 1300km at 145kph, so not a bad day though I am knackered.

Today’s picture, by John Thompson, was taken at the Southern end of the escarpment looking into the Namib desert. There was some interesting cirrus to dramatise the scene.

  1. Wow indeed! Nearly over the SA diamond mines at the Southern point of that flight!
