Nov 3rd – Glider rigged and ready to go

We reached Kiripotib around 11am, where we received a very friendly welcome from our hosts. We rigged after lunch and managed to do an engine run. The engine started and ran perfectly delivering full power when asked. It is now parked on the edge of the runway in front of our accommodation and with a little more fettling should be ready for our first flight tomorrow.

Weatherwise, the day developed into some serious thunderstorms and showers as you can see from the photo. The next few days have better forecasts with less shower potential. We shall see.

  1. Pleased to hear all is well. The weather in Newcastle this weekend was completely dissimilar. Hope first flight goes well.
